Childhood Cancer
Awareness Month
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness and rallying support for the fight against childhood cancers.
Around 250 babies and children in the UK, lose their lives to cancer every year. Though there has been progress and death rates have decreased there is still a long way to go, especially for childhood cancers like neuroblastoma where 50% of children with high-risk neuroblastoma will relapse.
Despite best efforts, childhood cancer research is still largely underfunded in the UK - that’s where we come in. Neuroblastoma UK is a major funder of research into the childhood cancer neuroblastoma, helping to fund new, innovative research into the disease.
We can only continue this vital work with your support. In 2024, we held one of our largest grant rounds to date but could only fund around 35% of the applications we received. Your donation today could help us fund even more groundbreaking research and bring us closer to a future where every child diagnosed with neuroblastoma is cured.
Together, we can beat childhood cancer. Start with a gift today.
Wear our new limited edition pin badge and show your support for children with neuroblastoma and their families this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Your donation can help fund crucial research into neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer.
