Big Give Christmas Challenge 2023

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters we have reached our target of £8,000, which includes £4,000 matched by our pledgers including The Hospital Saturday Fund.

We’ve now used all of our matched funding awarded to us, but donations can still be made to our project, Innovation to Impact: A Cure for Neuroblastoma, up until midday on Tuesday 5th December.

Six year old Apollinia celebrates one year in remission as she fronts Neuroblastoma UK’s campaign to raise £8,000 for neuroblastoma research

We are participating in our first ever Big Give Christmas Challenge 2023, the UK’s largest matched funding campaign. #ChristmasChallenge23

Donate on the Big Give website between 12 noon on Tuesday 28th November and 12 noon on Tuesday 5th December 2023 and double the impact of your donation.

One donation, twice the impact

For one week only, any donation you make to our project, Innovation to Impact: A Cure for Neuroblastoma will be DOUBLED - up to £4,000!

So if you donate £10, it will turn into £20. Or £25 will become £50. At no cost to you!

With you support, we can accelerate research and give children with neuroblastoma the future they deserve.

Sign up to pledge your support and receive an email reminder about the campaign and when it goes live.

What is the Big Give Christmas Challenge?

  • The Big Give Christmas Challenge runs for seven days each year and offers supporters of participating charities the opportunity to have their donation doubled.

  • Alongside donations from our generous Big Give Pledgers, Neuroblastoma UK have been offered match funding thanks to our Big Give Champion Pledgers, The Hospital Saturday Fund. We are truly grateful for their support.

  • Your donation will be DOUBLED by our generous Big Give Pledgers (for as long as matched funding remains).

  • Donate early to make sure your donation is DOUBLED and help us raise £8,000 for neuroblastoma research this Christmas.

Apple’s story

Our biggest fear was that our daughter was going to die. But this November, we are celebrating Apple being one year in remission.
— Anthea, Apple's mum

“My name is Anthea, and my daughter Appollonia - or Apple as we like to call her - is six years old.

Apple was just three when she was diagnosed with stage four, high risk neuroblastoma. She endured 18 months of treatment including high dose chemotherapy, major surgery, a stem-cell transplant, radiotherapy and immunotherapy.

Our biggest fear was that our daughter was going to die. But this November, we are celebrating Apple being one year in remission. She is thriving. She’s at school, happy and is looking forward to Christmas.

But not all children are as lucky as Apple. Too many children die from neuroblastoma.

Despite advances in treatment, high-risk neuroblastoma has one of the lowest survival rates of all childhood cancers. This needs to change. More research is desperately needed to improve treatment and help save more young lives.

Please support the Big Give Christmas Challenge and donate today to help children like Apple get the future they deserve.

With your help, we can make a difference to children with neuroblastoma and their families. Thank you.”
