The 2.6 Challenge

We’re excited to announce that Neuroblastoma UK is taking part in the 2.6 Challenge!

Neuroblastoma UK, along with many other charities across the UK, has been significantly impacted by the coronavirus and the cancellation of events.

The Virgin London Marathon was due to take place on Sunday 26 April. Until coronavirus hit. To mark this infamous event, and to raise vital funds for charities, the 2.6 Challenge has been created! And we’d love you to take part.

What’s the 2.6 Challenge all about?

The 2.6 Challenge has been created by the organisers of the biggest mass participation sports events across the country.

Last year’s Virgin London Marathon raised £66.4 million for the charity sector. This fun new challenge aims to raise £67 million to help our fundraising and save the UK’s charities, just like ours.

How to get involved

From Sunday 26 April, the day when the Virgin Money London Marathon would have taken place, join the rest of the UK for The 2.6  Challenge. Whatever your age or ability, you can take part.

  1. Simply choose your #TwoPointSixChallenge, from running 2.6km, hopping for 26 minutes or building a lego tower 2.6 metres tall!

  2. Set up your fundraising page on Virgin Money Giving or JustGiving - you’ll need to select Neuroblastoma UK as your chosen charity

  3. Then complete your challenge!

Check out the 2.6 Challenge website for more challenge ideas.

The only requirement is that you must follow the Government’s guidelines on social distancing.

Thank you for helping to save the UK’s charities.
