The race is known for its fast and flat course, making it ideal for those aiming for a PB. As the largest marathon in the UK second only to London, and the backdrop of the beautiful Scottish landscape, it’s a race not to be missed!
The route
Starting on Potterrow, you’ll be taken on a magical journey through the very heart of Edinburgh, meandering down to the coast. You will pass:

National Museum of Scotland
The High Street
Scottish National Gallery
Princes Street Gardens
Edinburgh Castle
The ‘Gothic Rocket’, otherwise known as the Scott Monument
The historic ‘Royal Mile’
Musselburgh
Gosford House
The stunning Scottish coastline
a descent of almost 90 metres to near sea level

By taking part, you’ll also be helping to fund vital research into new, more effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. We’ll help you set up a Just Giving page and support you throughout your fundraising journey.
