Autumn's Virtual Half Marathon

Join #TeamNBUK and run a virtual half marathon this autumn to help fight childhood cancer.

We’ve partnered with Virtual Runner UK to offer you the chance to run 13.1 miles in a location of your choice, be it your nearby woodlands, local moor or urban cityscape.

The half marathon must be completed in one go, between the 1st September and the 30th November, and you’ll record your progress on a fitness app like Strava or Fitbit.

Once you’ve crossed the finish line, you’ll be added to Virtual Runner’s scoreboard alongside your fellow contestants and receive a custom-made medal.

How does it work:

  1. Sign up on Virtual Runner UK and pay the £12 registration fee. 20% of your registration fee will go directly to Neuroblastoma UK, to help fund research into new, more effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma.

  2. Set up a fundraising page on JustGiving, to help save young lives.

  3. When it comes to the big day, record your race on a fitness app like Strava or Fitbit.

  4. Submit a screen shot of the app to Virtual Runner, who’ll then approve your evidence, put you on their score board and send you a medal.

*You must submit your evidence by noon on the 3rd December 2020 to claim your medal. Anything after this date will sadly not be accepted.

We may be waving goodbye to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month for another year, but we need your support more than ever. It’s essential to inform everyone about neuroblastoma not just in September, but all through the year.

By signing up to our virtual half marathon, you’re helping to raise vital funds for much-needed research into neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer.
